Nuntio Articles fully supports static and dynamic content localization. Every aspect of an article entry in the database can be localized so that you have completely translated articles in your system for unlimited languages. You can also configure your Nuntio Articles modules how to handle articles that have not been translated, e.g. what fallback mode to use

Articles may be associated with unlimited categories or tags. Those categories can be localized as well - the name of each category may have a localized entry for each enabled locale of your portal. Categories are organized in a hierarchical tree - allowing you to have a well organized category structure for each of your modules.

New! Besides common features like PublishDate and Approved flags per article you may now set expiry dates and/or mark articles as featured.. You can configure module instances to only show featured articles and of course we have also added a new featured templated to highlight those articles.

New! Articles may be associated with unlimited images, allowing you to have image galleries per article. We have updated the default template to provide you with a fully featured jQuery gallery browser to present article images in a highly professional manner. Each image in your gallery may have a title and a short description and both of these attributes may be localized of course.

 

Use Case Scenarios

  • Press Articles - add new articles, categorize them and create fantastic news datases. Thanks to our very flexible templating engine you can create news portals that look like a professional news page.
  • Knowledgabases - thanks to the included category browser module you can categorize articles and build huge knowledgebase databases. The powerful search within the module lets your visitors find what they are looking for.
  • Announcements - the integrated article list view allows you to display a list of latest entries on the homepage of your portal. You can have a news scroller as well a simple formatted list, both pointing to a central article module instance somewhere else in your portal.
  • Onlineblog - the integrated author browser module allows you to further categorize your articles by author. This makes Nuntio Articles also a very powerful blogging engine. The templating system is flexible enough to even allow you to implement social bookmarks features.
  • Newsletters - Nuntio Articles can send out new articles by email from within the DotNetNuke scheduler. Being templated as well, those news e-mails can make a great newsletter that your site visitors can subscribe to. Subscriptions are possible for unregistered visitors as well as for dedicated security roles - all at your fingertips.
  • FAQ - thinking around the corner helps when developing views. If you think of the article title being the question and the summary being the answer you have a faq system right at your finger tips. Combined with jQuery - easy to work with through the templates - you can create a rich UI to browse your questions...

System Requirements

Nuntio Articles has been developed for the DNN 5.6.2 platform. All versions from there are being supported, including the new DNN 6.x releases.

Note we currently do not support the Core Content Localization features in DNN 5 and 6. It may work in your scenario but we explicitely would like to encourage you to not use this feature with our Nuntio suite.

MS Ajax and Telerik components (part of the DNN Core) must be deployed on the webserver
